Lovely Day of May!

Hi to the month of May! Just want to show you lovelies something to be inspired about! Saw this picture from Pinterest and fell in love with it instantly!

Love the color of the sunset against the water…and the boat as well! It looks so serene and peaceful! *sigh* Don’t you think? Too bad though, the link didn’t really say who photographed it. But nevertheless, kudos to him 🙂

Note: I’ll be a silent the next two weeks finalizing everything for the wedding but I shall come back with lots of DIYs from the big day! Tata for now!

Let’s Talk Cake

Lovely day to all of you, girlies! Yes, today we’re going to be talking about cake. You may like it grand or you may like it simple. No matter what size you want for your wedding cake, I’d just like to give you something to think about as I compare my cake experiences back in the Philippines and now here in Sydney.

Back home, most wedding cakes are at least 3 layers and in most cases, only the lowest layer is edible (especially if you have a fondant cake). For some reason, I always feel bad that there seems to be so much cake and yet you can only have one layer of it. If you know what I mean.

Anyhow, when we started emailing some possible cake suppliers here in Sydney, there was one question I was surprised to get: “For how many servings would you want your cake?”. Apparently, wedding cake is served as dessert here. You can serve it in two ways: as a dessert slice or as a coffee/tea slice.

The approximate dimensions of a dessert size portion is 2.5 x 5 x 9 cm.
The coffee size portion (finger type) is half of the dessert.

It’s definitely different from what I’ve been used to but it’s quite practical if you think about it. All your guests will get a taste of your wedding cake and there’s one less thing to worry about for your dessert table. So what do you think?

Shall we have cake?

C’est parti! Paris!

I’m so ready to go! Finally getting to spend a few days together after being apart for almost 4 months now and VOILA! We get to spend those 6 days together in Paris! (I’m not sure if you can feel my excitement here but I AM) So, just thought I’d drop by and post something cute from the city of lights & love…before I go ooh la la!

Word of caution. Today’s post is….ahm…can’t fit the right words to describe this but I’ll try. Found this breathtaking, tear-dropping engagement shoot from StyleMePretty, photographed by Jose Villa. I’m totally at lost with words but all I know is I want to know the couple & the photographer just looking at these pictures.

Effortlessly beautiful! And of course, having Paris in the background…*sigh* gorgeous. Can’t wait to be there myself!

On y va? à bientôt mesdemoiselles.

Joan’s Pre-Debut Shoot

Step right up! The festivities shall continue! Today is all about the pre-debut shoot for the debutante-to-be. Since the theme is mardi-gras/carnival, we head out to the Mall of Asia (MOA) for the entire day to get both morning & night shots.

Good thing, MOA has a carousel by the bay walk so the whole venue became our playground. Plus its free!

Wwe will be featuring our tandem photographers, of course!
