DIY Eco-Friendly Confetti & Envelope

Another midweek DIY for all of you! If you have lots and lots of scratch papers around, I have found a new way to use those papers you are about to throw away.

I know that confetti enevelopes are now trending with any type of events. So instead of using petals for our wedding, we used punched paper! Turns out they can be cute and easy to make!

You’ll be needing:

– roll of kraft paper
– scissors
– ruler
– puncher
– scratch paper(s)
– glue

For the confetti, just punch all you can with any paper you have. In my case, I used the left over kraft paper I have from making the envelopes.

I got the envelope pattern from EatDrinkChic. You can download it here.

For the label, I placed our ceremony details on it for guests to read with a “You can now Toss Me” note at the end. Glue it in front of the envelope…tadaa!

And as simple treat for you guys, I made these ready-to-print Toss Me labels for you to download.

Click on this link to download. Enjoy! (This is my first attempt on this so bear with me. *wink*)

So what’s your latest DIY project? I’d love to hear from you!

DIY Golden Bottles

Tables are meant to be pretty. That means you’ll need pretty things to dress up your tables especially for your wedding reception. But pretty doesn’t mean expensive…take it from me! *wink*

Aaron & I both love flowers but we didn’t want to spend it on renting vases just for one night. I’d rather use the money for more flowers if you know what mean. Soooo the bottle collection begins! From pasta sauce jars to juice bottles to beer bottles…

The beer bottles were a bit tricky though coz they were green so they wouldn’t match our color scheme. And that’s why we spray painted them!

This is what you’ll be needing:

  • your collection of jars
  • spray paint
  • newspaper

Aaron and I had fun doing this. It’s quite relaxing or maybe it was just the high from the paints speaking…but yeah it was stress relieving in the middle of all the wedding preps.

All in all we got around 60 bottles to fill with flowers. Quite impressive! And it did turned out to be a gorgeous table setting! See for yourself 😉

DIY Wedding Poster

I just love posters! They tell so much and they add so much character to any space. Plus they give your guests something to read! Whilst trying to look for inspirations for our wedding decors, I found this lovely lovely poster by m.studio that perfectly puts our vision into one piece of art. And the best thing is it’s free! So I’m sharing this now with you guys 🙂

It’s in A3 poster format and you can download it here.

This is how this pretty thing looked on our ceremony table…with some baby’s breathe and lanterns (aka candle holders). Sweet!

Happy midweek everyone!

1 Month and counting…

Good morning lovelies! Woke up this morning and realized that on the same day next month I won’t be a single lady anymore! Yay!

College has been a great part of my life and this just proves it! Looking back gives me smiles! 6 years and we still surprise each other everyday. Look at this photo I pulled out from our graduation ball where we had our first formal date in 2006. Just look at us! SO innocent! I still got my braces then and Aaron still got his long hair. Geeks 😛

ONE MONTH! I feel like I have to panic with this close to the wedding, like I need to do something even with my countless lists of to-do(s). Is it really this surreal? I really don’t know what to feel. I’m just praying I won’t get the jitters, you know?

Maybe you girlies can give me some tips? I’d like to know how you’ve felt a few weeks before your wedding too!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Our Wedding Invites

For those who are following my blog, you’ll know that I’ve just recently posted about our save-the-dates. So now, it’s time for the wedding invites! Yey! I have to say thanks to OhHelloFriend first because I got the inspiration from her and found ourselves our invites vendor as well!

Without further adieu, here’s the final product of love…

We are soooo happy with it! It took us three tries to find that perfect tree but it came out just as we expected. Perfect!

Special thanks to Roberto for being so nice and helpful with everything! Don’t forget to check out his shop BullFrog Graphics on Etsy!

Happy Easter everyone! xoxo

Our Save The Date

I am so so excited to share this with all of you, lovelies! We had put these out last year since we haven’t really ordered our invites yet.

This is really simple and great for any event!
So these are all you need:
– cardboard boxes (any size you wish)
– hay
– cardboard paper
– white head floral cake stamens
– construction paper for the rose origami (any color of your choice)
– dried wheat
– white paint (for “dubbing” the wheat white)
– glue gun & glue sticks

Basically, it’s just assembling everything. The most difficult part, I think, are the roses…good thing I had help! *Thanks again guys!*

You can check the instructions for the rose from here.

There you go! All pretty & nice!

DIY Just Married Banner

I know you’ve seen this a lot around the internet but owell, there’s no harm posting another one. I just started our DIYs for the wedding so I thought I’d share it with all of you too! It’s jamazing how a project like this can add so much character to the simplest detail!

So without further adieu, here’s what you’ll be needing:

2 yards cotton cloth
acrylic paint
sponge brush
cutter/scissors
stencils
ruler
glue gun/glue sticks
twine string

First step is to cut your cloth into 7×8 for each letter, set that aside while you create your stencil. I printed my stencil using the FFF Tusj font (c/o dafont.com) with font size 500 and then simply cut out the letters with a cutter.

Now that you have you’re stencils, it’s time for painting. My favorite part! What I did is to have an allowance of 2 inches from the top so you have space for the twine. And good thing about acrylic paint, you don’t have to worry about it drying because it dries almost instantly!

Last but not the least, glue gun the twine string to the back of each letter (or sew it if you want). That’s it! You’re very own Just Married banner ready to hang!

Till the next post, girls!

The Wedding Day Aura

Now that you’re done choosing your colors scheme, have you decided on the mood for your special day? Believe me, it is very important to know the “feel” you want on your day! It’ll help you see the whole picture! In my case, my picture of my wedding will be cozy but memorable. I want my guests to be comfortable, lounging around a bonfire or walking around admiring the view…sigh! 🙂

{Photo from Pinterest}

Aaand so, that’s how I knew that I wanted something outdoors. So when we started looking for the vendors and the materials for the decor, we knew exactly what we were looking for! No fancy schmancy! Just pretty details here and there! Get it?

{Photo from Pinterest}

So what are you waiting for?….Go daydream about your perfect wedding before you start planning. Use that lovely picture when you search Google or Pinterest or whatever search engine you’re using to look for all the things you need!

And remember, when all the planning gets you stressed out…find time to go back to that daydream! Daydreaming keeps us pretty! 😛

Hope this helps! See you soon, lovelies!
