Stamp Away

Happy mid-February girlies! It’s been a quick January for me and I have so much up my sleeve. I can’t wait to share everything with you. So, time to roll them up & get to work!

To start this year’s DIY project, let’s start with something ingenious – DIY rubber stamps.

I found this quick inexpensive way to create your own stamps from The Sweet Occasion. And although you can order custom made stamps from shops or online, if you’re just going to use it once, why not go with something practical.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Used rubber eraser
Pencil
X-Acto Knife or Cutter

First, you have to draw your stencils on the eraser using a pencil, just like the ones below.

Next, is to use your cutter or knife to trace around the drawing and cut not more than 1/8 inch downward. Slowly, pull the sides off to remove the excess border.

Voila! Your stamp is done! Ink it up and you’re good to go.

You can use these for escort cards, on your thank you cards and more. And you can even create more complicated designs with this concept. Just be careful with the cutting part, though.

Stamp, stamp, stamp! xoxo
